Warning: Fictitious invitation to invest by using the word ITOCHU

ITOCHU Australia Limited has recently become aware that a person or persons unknown have been approaching members of the public in Australia and have been soliciting investment by phone or fake emails (from an email address containing the word “ITOCHU”) in the name of ITOCHU Corporation.

IITOCHU Australia Limited and ITOCHU Corporation in Japan have no knowledge of the identity of this person or persons or the source of the emails and are in no way connected with the solicitation or emails.

ITOCHU Australia Limited and ITOCHU Corporation are not inviting individual members of the public in Australia to invest.

If you suspect that you have received a fake email or an unreliable phone call of this nature, please inform us of it at the email address below or report the same to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
